Day 2, 3, 4 & 5 UPDATE!!!

Hello!
Sorry, I'm a bit behind with posting!
just been really busy :)

All has been going well, David is already at his target weight goal of 75kg!!
They both found it really quite hard the first 1/2 days, mum finally having an expresso and David deciding he was going to give up smoking a week later! .... ;)
Sooo, it's Day 6 today, nearly a week gone by, and we are all LOVING IT!

David says his energy is so good so far that if it keeps up like that he'll feel fine to do the full 92 day juice feast program!

I've not found it as hard as them, I believe because I don't get the cravings they do for nasty food
BUT this juice feast (I've already done one of 2 weeks before) was HARDER then last times as I'm making all the juices for all 3 of us!
SOOO, I get up quite early (5/6AM) to make mums and David's morning and work juice (1L + 1,5L) which takes around 2H. So, when it gets round to doing MY juices I'm tired and really can't be bothered! ...
I end up having mostly grape and apple/celery juices as I find them the EASIEST and QUICKEST to do, but then at the end of the day I don't feel as good as I havn't got all those greens I should be getting AND I feel I can't be bothered to make much quantity for myself so I'm drinking around 2/3L most of juice a day, and as the minimum recomended is 4L a day, it's way of target at the moment!!
Erg, but I'm kindof getting the knack of making all this juice (around 9L a day!!) but still finding it quite hard and VERY time-consuming, which isn't very practical for my school work/social time....

ANYWAYS ;)
Here are some pics of the last few days,
and our juice diary..
NOTE: for my mum and David this only records the juices I made them, and not the teas and lemon/honey water they they have throughout the day....

Fully equipted and starting tomorrow!

Hello!!!

Right, we went to the market today, got the produce..........

AND we've got a juicer that David got as a late B-day pressie from someone (perfect timing, eh!?) and are commencing our Juice Feast journey tomorrow (Sunday)!!!

a gorgeous pumpkin, apple, carrot and pear juice

We have even designed a Daily Personal Tracker sheet, as the one from the juice feasting website, although very good, had some irrelevant info to us and the layout wasn't as we liked it...... soo, we designed our on ;)
I'm gunna put it up on here so that anyone can download it for free to help them on their juicy journey ;)

And Oh My Goodnessss!!! What synchronisities we had today!!!!!
First of all, we went to a flea market in town to look for scales to weigh ourselves tomorrow for our 'Before Juice Feast data' :)..
And we came out with a TWIN GEAR juicer and scales for 9CH (=around $9/€5)!!!!!!!! (juicer=8CH and scales were 1CH!)
And it WORKS brilliantly, albeit I do have to starin the juice a little through the nut milk bag as it's abit pulpy, but it juices greens and the like like a dream!!!!!! XD It's called Green Life, and it's basically an older version of Green Star!

WOW! We are soo blessed XD
Now we really are fully equipted! :)

So, for a minimum of 3 days for 3 people, here is what we bought on the market today:
(all organically grown)

-10 heads of Romain lettuce (4,50CH/kg): 12CH
-6 large heads celery (6CH/kg): 30CH (ouch!)
-54 apples (3,50CH/kg): 20CH
-5 cucumbers: 6CH
-1kg spinach (6CH/kg) : 6CH
-1 squash/yam (don't know which one it is ;) (2CH/kg): 5CH
-2,5kg lemons: 12,50CH
-2kg carrots (1,90CH/kg): 3,80CH
Total: 83,9CH

So, using this info and assuming this produce lasts for 3 days of juicing for 3 people,
for 1 day of juicing for 3 people would be around 27CH, and for 1 day of juicing for 1 person would be around 9CH! Pretty damn good value I say!!!!! Wow, and imagine, most poeple spend 10CH MIN just on dinner!!!

Tomorrow, we're gunna put up all of our 'Before Stats', such as weight and our before pictures!!! :))))))))))))))

Yay to Green Juice! ;)...
and Yay! to our last day of solids for a while ;).......

Pre-juice Feast Juice Day :)

Hey!
Well, today I got up quite late (9:30, I like getting up at 6-7am usually :) and my mum and flatmate had already left for work, and I thought "Right, I'm starting the Juice Feast today!"

As we havn't got the juicers yet, I decided to do my juices with my VitaMix and nut milk bags for today.

So, I hopped off to the market to pick up some delicious produce to juice.
Here what I got (prices are in Suisse Francs):
... ALL ORGANICALLY GROWN (except watermelon)

-1,060kg of romaine lettuce = 2 big heads (costs 4,50CH/kg): 4,75CH
-1,545kg of carrots (3CH/kg): 4,65CH
-0,875kg of fennel = 2 bulbs (5,50CH/kg): 4,80CH
-1,065kg of spinach =1 giant bag! (8CH/kg): 8,50CH
-2 cucumbers (2CH/piece): 4CH
-1 bunch parsley, given to me free :) : 0CH
-1 BIG bunch of KALE (YAY, this is the 1st time I've found it here! woo!): 1,50CH (what a bargain!!)
-1kg of apples = 5 large apples: 4,20CH
-2kg of watermelon = 1 big slice (2,50kg): 5CH

TOTAL money spent: 37,70CH / €24,80
NOTE: I could have spent less if I went around the whole market first, as I found cheaper (and organic) fennel (at 4CH/kg), cucumbers (at 1CH/piece)

The greens should last for quite a few days, but I think I will have to some more fruit/apples tomorrow or the day after, especially if all 3 of us are starting tomorrow! :)

My Juice Intake so far Today:

Breakfast:
none (wasn't hungry and had nothing to juice yet! :)
Around 12PM: 900ml of Green Juice: romaine/carrots/fennel/spinach)

This recipe was from Angela and Mat Monarch's 'TV show' which supposedly tastes like 'chocolate milk'!! Well, to me it didn't but I do think I put in too many carrots! Here's the quantities I made it with:

-1/2 head romaine lettuce
-1/2 kilo carrots

-3 slices fennel
-handful spinach
(as I did this is the vitamix, i had to add a lil bit of water aswell)
A little while later around 12PM30:
1,5L of watermelon juice!! Ohhhh myyyy this is SOOO good!! I made the juice from the whole slice, BUT didn't juice the rind as it wasn't organic, unfortunatly. This tastes, and looks, like liquid candyfloss!!!! :D

Around 3:30PM: 1L of a really yummy and refreshing cucumber/apple/fennel/courgette(zuccini)/kale Green Juice:
-1 cucumber
-3 small apples (not the ones I bought today, I picked these on a walk in the Jura mountain yesterday:)
-2 thivk slices fennel
-1/3 large courgette/zuccini
-2 leaves kale

This totals around: 3,4L of juice

I won't start counting the days until we are alll on the juice feast, which is why I named this post 'Pre-juice Feast Juice Day' :) Besides, I did nibble a bit and had a few taster pieces of watermelon and cantaloupe at the market ;)

Will hopefully put up all of our BEFORE photos tomorrow ;)

have a fantastic day!
